Requirements :

Recognised Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with preferably 2 years' relevant working experience.

Other Criteria :

1. Performs routine safety checks and routine maintenance on all biomedical equipment / systems according to the schedules set by the department.
2. Attends to routine and emergency repairs on biomedical equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
3. Maintains proper records of all biomedical equipment.
4. Supervises and coordinates works performed by external contractors.
5. Liaises with equipment suppliers, user departments and purchasing on the requirements, specifications and commissioning for new biomedical equipment and systems.
6. Evaluates and inspects new biomedical equipment to make sure that all safety regulations, manufacturer's specifications and tender requirements are met.
7. Maintains and updates operating service manuals of biomedical equipment.
8. Assists in the preparation of technical specifications and tender documents for purchase of new biomedical equipment and systems.
9. Ensures proper housekeeping of BME tools.
10. Assists in the coordination of renovation works.
